About DDFT

Genesis :

Dianaa Development Foundation Trust (DDFT) is a voluntary organization registered under the Indian Trust Act in 2013. DDFT is pioneered by a group of social activists inspired by the conviction that individuals with knowledge, resource, and empathy for ...the marginalized must work with communities at the grassroots to help them overcome poverty. DDFT believes that the path towards conquering economic poverty can be achieved by enhancing the livelihood capabilities of the poor youth and giving them sustainable income-earning opportunities. In the process, the youth must be enabled to break free from the past, develop an alternative vision of their future and set achievable goals. They must be equipped with the technical, organizational, negotiating, and networking skills that will facilitate the fulfillment of their goals.

Objectives:

  • 1. To organize, promote and empower poor people through a participatory process.
  • 2. To promote the economic empowerment of women through the formation and strengthening of self-help groups, reducing violence against them, and livelihood promotion.
  • 3. To create awareness and organize rural poor towards their rights, entitlement, duties, and responsibilities by providing information and sensitization.
  • 4. To mainstream disadvantaged youth and children with skill training, education, and promotion of child rights.
  • 5. To strengthen local self-governance through sensitizing and developing leadership among EWRs.
  • 6. To conduct various programs and schemes for family welfare, public health, and public security.
  • 7. To conduct programs and projects for keeping the environment and atmosphere clean.
  • 8. To conduct and facilitate all other programs/activities supportive and complementary as required morally helping achieve the objects of social development as a whole.

    The Governing Board comprises a maximum of 5 honorary members who come from diverse backgrounds and services. They are independent directors of DDFT and hold no material interest in DDFT. The GB empowers the Managing Trustee cum Secretary to acts in the best interest of the organization.

    Our strength lies in our skilled and committed staff who works with sincerity to achieve the vision and mission of the organization. At present, 26 staff is associated with DDFT with a committed team of volunteers also.
